Fine Art

Art is subjective. One man’s trash is another man’s treasure. Whatever floats your boat man, do what you like, like what you do.

Most of my art is oil on canvas. The subject matter is typically landscapes of cities, oceans and rural scenes. My influences are Vincent van Gogh, Claude Monet and Edward Hopper. Wildlife scenes are also a favorite of mine inspired by Ned Smith. The style is a combination of impressionistic, American realism and cubism.

18th from Smallman

This painting is of 18th Street in Pittsburgh’s Strip District. The famous Primanti Brothers Restaurant & Bar is on the right. This was during the blizzard of 1996. I took the photo I used for reference as I was leaving the city.

Early Arrivals

This is a painting of the Dennis Port beach on Cape Cod. It was an interesting scene being among the early arrivals to the beach before the mass crowds appeared.
